The main property of jute is its hygroscopicity. The material easily absorbs moisture, but does not let it in. That is why jute bags are used to transport goods that need to be protected from getting wet.

Storage

Do not subject the product to high mechanical stress (strong bending and squeezing), do not use the bag to carry heavy loads.
Do not wash the product with household chemicals. Dry cleaning is recommended.
Jute tends to fade in the sun. However, the product itself will not deteriorate from this.
When wet, the product can lose its shape if not dried properly. To avoid deformation, do not dry it near sources of increased heat. After getting wet, the bag should be dried naturally on a flat surface.
Jute fiber, like any other natural material, is highly flammable. Do not store the product near sources of intense heat.
